The University of Auckland Clinics

What we do and why we do it

The University of Auckland Clinics are teaching clinics. Students training to become health professionals work at our clinics under the supervision of clinical experts.

Students assist the clinical supervisor during a client’s consultation, or students may provide the consultation and service.

Our clients’ safety always comes first. All our students have the skills and knowledge to do the tasks their clinical supervisors ask of them. And rest assured, their work is checked every step of the way.

If a clinical supervisor isn’t present in the consulting room during your appointment, one will be working behind the scenes monitoring the student or will review the work after the session. (Read more in About Our Clinics)

Your clients will get the most thorough care and attention at the University of Auckland Clinics.

All our supervising clinical supervisors are highly trained leaders in their fields. As tutors at New Zealand’s leading university they have the latest research at their fingertips. So they can give you the best-informed care and advice.

Any advice they do give is totally independent. We do not have a vested interest in promoting any commercial brands, treatments or therapies.

The University of Auckland is New Zealand’s leading university and is the only one ranked among the world’s top 100 universities by the Times Higher Education - Quacquarelli Symonds (THE-QS) World Rankings of Universities.
